We had our Christmas gifts delivered before Christmas Day. My wife, Melissa was discharged from the hospital on 23rd December; this was the best Christmas gift ever.
With her recovery on the way, with absolute bed rest advised, it was up to me, to take on the mantle of Mom-in-Chief, Chef, getting the kids ready for school every morning, et al and ensure that there was food on the table, when demanded.
In the midst of my learning to cook food by following recipes, I discovered that cooking is also an art and offers its own joys. The Craft of Cooking allows for the ideation and creation of goods, whose feedback is instantaneous.
Over the last few days, with a bit of effort, I have prepared edible Fresh Mutton Soup, Mutton Curry, Egg Omelettes, Chappatis.....
I have also learnt, that cooking for those you Love, is especially joyous, given that I am perfectionist by nature, it is a joy to see the happiness of my kids when they get a perfect sunny side egg fried just to the right degree.
Well, enough for now, I got to rush to the Kitchen....the Mutton Soup is on slow burner...
