After the birth of Natassia, a girl after 2 boys, my wife and I, were overjoyed; I distinctly recollect my Mom telling me, that a Girl Child is different.
Now, Natassia is 4 years old and a couple of incidents stand out among the many that we as parents have been privileged to part of and given such a gift.
One morning, as I was shaving, Natassia walks into the wash room, watches me shaving for a while and then states " Dada, I want to have a moustache like yours, when I grow up." I did not challenge her thought process, but what struck me immediately was that, the 2 boys never said something like this.
Another incident that will forever stay in memory, is when Natassia, just out of the blue, after I returned home from work stated, "Dad, I want to marry you, when I grow up."
I am sure, there are similar and more beautiful family experiences out there, not only with a girl child, but with any child; I would love to read about them.
It is said, that "By Educating a Girl Child, One Educates an entire Family". In my next post, I will share links of Charities & Organizations that support this worthy cause; I invite our readers to also contribute similar causes in each of the geographies that you may live in.
